It is well with my soul

Such a beautiful thought. "It is well with my soul." This is the song that stuck with me as I listened to a life lived by Kyle's Great Grandmother. I never did get the opportunity to meet Granny, but as I listened to her life shared with those that did know her, I wish I had been given the opportunity to know her. I know it was hard for Kyle and his family to say goodbye to someone so special to their hearts. It was a beautiful service and Granny spoke to all of us using God's word. Granny was 91 when she passed away and her life song is singing and I pray for peace in the hearts aching for their loss.

Christmas 2010

WOW! I can't believe my last post was over a year ago! I am pretty disappointed in myself for once again starting something and not finishing it. I am terrible at that, but in my defense my last post was right around the time I started student teaching which led to graduation which led to my first teaching job! I can't believe so much has changed over the last year. I have officially completed my very first semester as a teacher and boy am I glad that it is over! I wish that first year teachers were not soooo over whelmed, but now I fell like I have the hang of it......maybe. Kyle is now officially finished with college!!!!! My husband is now a Mechanical Engineer and I know the right job is waiting for him! Not to mention I am pregnant!!! Kyle and I are expecting our very first baby around August 13 2011! CRAZY!! We are both so excited for him or her to start the growth of our family. Obviously we both want a healthy baby, but I think we each have a gender in mind, but we won't disclose who wants what just yet!

I went to the doctor and 6 weeks, early I know, but I had to be sure I was actually pregnant! They were able to do an ultra sound and we even heard our baby's heart beat! IT WAS AMAZINGLY PERFECT! It was the greatest moment of my life as a wife to hear our baby's little heart beating I instantly fell in love with my baby! I am looking forward to mommy hood.....but I am also terrified at what I am about to embark on! YIKES Kyle and I are going to be mommy and daddy!!

Today is Christmas day and I am exactly 7 weeks pregnant which means by the time we are bringing in the new year I will be 2 months pregnant 7 months to go! WOW time is already flying by! Kyle and I have decided to wait for the ultimate surprise and not find out the sex of the baby! It will be hard to keep to this when the doctor knows and we are clueless, but we think that waiting until the day of our baby's birth would be so amazing! I have another doctors' appointment the middle of January! I hope to have some more clear ultra sound pictures to share, but until then I will keep you updated with the pregnancy.
