Our Wedding

Well the wedding came and went! Kyle and I had a blast and our only wish is that the wedding day would have slowed down some. It all happened so fast that we didn't even get to enjoy our own wedding cake! It wasn't until we were in the limo when we both realized we never got a slice! That's what happens when you are having fun though things fly by! Here are a few pics that friends of mine have uploaded of our wedding day. Wedding and Work

Well, I have been home for about a month now and for the most part all the "big" things are done! Except the most important the wedding invitations. I had been dreading these the most. I searched all kinds of websites looking for the perfect invitations, but none of them seemed to work for me. So with the help of some ladies from Conroe ISD and Jenni's mom I have the beginnings of the invitations that I am going to make myself. I absolutely love them I can't wait to put them together and mail them off!

Mom and I visited with the florist today and I am thrilled that I picked hydrangeas they are sooo pretty and simple. I am taking my bridal portraits on June 8th so we finalized a bouquet for that!

Kyle has gone back to Lubbock for summer school and I miss him, but this time that I have with my family is precious to me I will never again be able to come home and be single so I am really enjoying this summer with my family.

I have also been keeping busy taking care of my grandma and subbing for Conroe ISD until the summer is here. I worked with the sweetest second grade class the other day and the students were sad that I wouldn't be coming back after that day! I love those little kids no matter what is going wrong in your day they find a way to make it better by being so sweet.

Hey girls! Just wanted to remind you that dresses are in!....I am getting so excited!..I am still not sure what color shoes I want y'all to wear. Jenni and I have made a date to go look at some styles and colors, but you are all welcome to come. I will let everyone know when we are going to go! I can't believe my wedding is just around the corner this time last year I was just getting used to the fact that I was engaged and now WOW!

New Years Resolution: Buff Bride

So I wanted to loose 60 lbs last year and I only fell short of that goal by 10 lbs. but even so I fell short! So I have a new goal to loose 20 lbs by spring break so that I will have lost all that I wanted to plus an additional 10 to top off the final product so to say! It has been a real wake up call to loose the weight! I started weight watchers last January and by the time Kyle proposed I had lost 20 lbs. which worked out nicely for those pictures we have of that wonderful night. Then when I realized that my family and friends would all be looking me at me on my wedding day I knew that 20lbs was only the beginning, but along the way it became more than what others thought I really feel good about myself and the fact that I want to keep up my new healthy lifestyle can only benefit the family that Kyle and will start this August. I have started counting my points and working out every morning I get up early 7 a.m just to hit the gym. (my classes don't even start until 12:30 but I am getting so much done in the mornings because I get my body moving!) SO HERE'S TO 2009 the year of the BUFF BRIDE!

My Wedding Dress Came In!

So I got a phone call from David's Bridal my wedding dress is in!!!!!!!!!!!!!...too bad I am 600 miles away in stinky Lubbock....I will have to wait! Since my dress came in so fast hopefully the bridesmaid dresses come equally as fast.

Well, the holidays are over and I am back in Lubbock and classes start the day after tomorrow! bummer!

I really enjoyed seeing all of you over the Christmas break and I wanted to Thank you all for helping out at brickhouse bridal you were all so eager to help when the going got tough. I know that I was caught off guard but you were all there helping me stay calm and even on the phone trying to locate the dress somewhere else! That really meant a lot to me. But on a more positive note I really love the dress I went with so much! After I had time to let it sink in I really decided it was the best way to go because the dress was so flattering on all of you! I will be calling Brickhouse sometime in Feburary to find out if the dresses are in so you gals can go and pick them up!

Thank you all so much! I really got a ton done for the wedding over the break and it is nice to have advice from those who have already been there, those who are planning, and those who have my back no matter what!
